Kids Say: Brooks Prays

At dinner time the boys take turns (or fight) over who gets to say the prayer.

Sometimes they forget about prayer time and start eating as soon as I get the plates down.

This night in particular, Dean and I also forgot about the prayer.

Brooks, with a mouthful of his own dinner, catches us. “Guys! No eating, (munch, munch) I have to (crunch) pray!”

It didn’t stop there, despite his protests about us having a bite before prayer, he continued his prayer with at least three food breaks.

“Thank you God for happy (munch) hearts. For rain and sunny weather.  Thank you for the food (crunch) we eat and now we’re all (munch) together.  In Jesus name we pray – AMEN!”

This boy.
